Knowing where and how to store items efficiently can make a big difference to your quality of life in a smaller living area such as a studio apartment.

Monitor Stands

Great for keeping things out of the way and organized – not to mention reducing dust that goes onto computer components (just put your keyboard and mouse under the stand when you’re not using them!). Great for also raising the monitor height for a more relaxed and ergonomic head position!

Cable management plays an important part in apartment living because with cords and power tabs out in the open, it is exposed to dust, water, and other elements that could cause fires and wreak havoc on your equipment. It also helps in minimizing clutter but in places with pets (such as myself), it is crucial in preventing destructive behaviors towards cables and cords.

Tables. Tables usually come with chairs and chairs are something that we just have to sacrifice in a small living space (with the only exception being the computer chair).

Having tables to eat, drink coffee, and work from the ground, floor or bed is one of the best uses of space. Then, when you’re finished with them – fold them away and recover your floor space back.

One of the main complaints about a small home is the lack of storage space, usually in the kitchen, living room, or other cramped parts of the room. The key is to stack items on top of each other using racks or shelving. Racks are flexible pieces of furniture that can fit anywhere. Also, most racks have wheels so you can move them around easily based on your individual needs!

When push comes to shove – sometimes we have to find some new ways to organize the items that we have. Other places in the home that might need organization are the bathroom, closet, and other parts of the home. These are the items that I am using currently in my home and they help keep things in one spot so I can easily find them later on.

These items are flexible and can be used anywhere. So they’re often handy to have around just in case. For example – in my apartment I do a lot of VR (Virtual reality) activities, so the sticky hooks were useful to have to hang up the wires and any other equipment that I need within reach.
